YEAR 10 King’s Ely Senior student, Ben Kittoe, did himself and the school proud when he took part in a French Drama Competition at The King Alfred School in London on March 11th.

Brigitte Bousquet, Head of French at King’s Ely Senior, said: “Although he was the only Year 10 student amongst dozens of Sixth Form students, Ben really held his own and was not phased at all by the experience.

“Ben gave a very polished performance of ‘Le Mot’ by Victor Hugo. The quality of his French compared most favourably with that of the other competitors and his sterling performance gained him a special commendation from the four judges.

“This just goes to show what you can do with languages when you put your mind to it and fully engage with the subject. Bravo, Ben!”
