CONGRATULATIONS to King’s Ely Junior pupil, Ben Alderton, and his CYC Under 12 cricket friends, for raising more than £2,000 for the Cambridgeshire Coronavirus Community Fund, set up by the Cambridgeshire Community Foundation.
Ben and his teammates staged a 12 hour bat-a-thon on May 16th, which saw them batting non-stop from 8am-8pm.
The boys said they would have been pleased to raise £1,000 for the Fund but, thanks to lots of generous donations, they have raised more than £2,100 so far.
