GRAMMY award-winning and world-renowned tenor Paul Phoenix visited King’s Ely on Monday (28) to work with the school’s choirs, soloists and ensembles.

Paul, who was the tenor voice in the King’s Singers for 17 years, gave his wealth of knowledge during a series of workshops designed to develop and inspire the school’s young singers. After the workshops, Paul delighted pupils, staff and parents with a performance of Benjamin Britten songs.

Paul commented: “It was a pleasure spending the day at King’s Ely, working with many talented young singers. It is reassuring to know that there are so many outstanding musicians in the school, with great potential for the future. They are a credit to their school, their teachers and the community, of which they are such an important part. I can’t wait to go back!”
