“THE wonderful spectacle of the Advent Processions at the Cathedral last Sunday evening started this week off on a festive footing – we even enjoyed a few light snow flurries yesterday to set the scene for our end of term celebrations!

“The Christmas Mail service has started at school and cards are being delivered to the classrooms by our Year 6 elves, the Christmas Tree at the Old Palace and our eco tree in Reception are adding some cheer on these short and sometimes grey winter days and the sound of carol singing and preparations for Monday evening’s concert are coming along well.

“Looking forward we have some festive fun ahead this week, with the Christmas Concert on Monday, Christmas Lunch, House Christmas Food Collections continuing, the sponsored Santa Runs and of course, Christmas Jumper Days too. Meanwhile, lessons continue and the children are remarkably engaged, despite Christmas excitement rearing its head!”
