“THE children enjoyed a busy week on site together and are looking forward to many more sun-filled days during the course of this term. Cricket pitches, the swimming pool and the playgrounds have been full of laughter and fun already, but next week’s start to clubs and activities will bring yet more busy-ness to the children’s days.

“Year 5 cycled their way around Ely whilst completing their Bikeability course and we were delighted to learn that they all achieved an award at the end. This week we also enjoyed a visit from Lydia Greenway, a former England cricketer, who worked with the children and offered some inspiration as a role model to our aspiring cricketers.

“Next week we have the online Year 8 Parents’ Evening, a start to The Road to Wimbledon School Tennis competitions and we will welcome our Reception children for their intensive swimming courses at the pool.

“The long weekend of the 1st, 2nd and 3rd of May is an Exeat Weekend for the school, with lessons resuming on Tuesday the 4th. Then, the following weekend of the 8th May, we will see our main prospective pupil recruitment event for the term happening.

“There is clearly a sense of a splendid summer season building and we wish you and the children a happy weekend.”
