“LAST week’s special moments came thanks to Safer Internet Day (SID) on the 8th February and through this being Children’s Mental Health Week, led by Place2Be. The events were the starting point for some discussions between tutors and pupils across the school. The huge increase in time spent on computers and the well documented rise in concerns on behalf of children’s wellbeing due to the pandemic, mean that these initiatives remain most pertinent to all of us.

“We hope that over half term, following the busyness of the last few weeks at school, the children will have opportunities to celebrate their achievements since the start of 2022 and restore their energies. Perhaps a timely conversation about the use of social media platforms, gaming or the boundaries the children should respect online could feature too in our homes, whilst the pace slows for a few days for the children over the break?

“Whether your half term plans see you at home or venturing far away, we wish you a safe and healthy time and look forward to welcoming the children back to school on February 21st.

“Our mid-term service, led by King’s Ely Acremont Pre-Prep on Friday, reminded us that “Love is all you need” and we heartily agree!”
