KING’S Ely Sixth Form leaver, Louis Heau, is off to Lancaster University after achieving the A Level results he needed.

Louis, 18, achieved an A in Spanish, a B in French and a B in Government and Politics. His chosen degree is Politics and International Relations.

Louis, who joined King’s Ely Junior in Year 4, said: “I hope to work in Politics after my degree, potentially with the Civil Service or as part of a think tank, however my degree allows me to enter a variety of different sectors.”

Speaking about his time at King’s, Louis said: “I am not only going to miss the impressive facilities at King’s, but also the sense of community and my friends, as they have all played a huge part in my King’s experience. The school is an accepting and welcoming place in a beautiful location.

“I started Rowing in Year 8 and did it for three years, which I found challenging but really enjoyable. When I was in Junior School I also boarded in Priory House as a flexi-boarder, which I enjoyed greatly as there was a real sense of community and everyone was so friendly. I also have fond memories of attending Archery Club when I was in Junior School.”

Louis added: “King’s has always encouraged me to be a better, more confident person. My teachers have always been there if I need them and they have supported me to make sure that I achieve success and make the most of my talents. Even during lockdown, the teaching provision was excellent.”

Congratulations Louis, good luck in Lancaster and keep in touch!
