Our A-Level Spanish cohort travelled to the British Film Institute (BFI) in London for a special study and enrichment day.

The excursion for both Year 12 and Year 13 students was based on the Spanish film, ‘El laberinto del fauno’ (Pan’s Labyrinth), which is one of their prescribed A-Level texts.

Mr Kymon Megas, Head of Spanish at King’s Ely Senior, said: “Conducted mostly in Spanish, this study day allowed pupils to further develop their film language, as well as explore the important historical period of Franco’s dictatorship and the Spanish Civil War, giving them a much deeper understanding of the film’s themes.”
