Manchester.

Education:

Bachelor’s degree in English Literature with Creative Writing from Lancaster University and PGCE from University of Manchester.

Your previous role and place of work:

English Teacher at Sancton Wood School in Cambridge.

What are you most looking forward to about working at King’s Ely?

I’m really looking forward to teaching A Level again and being part of the wonderful school community of King’s Ely.

Hobbies/interests outside of school:

Reading books, playing board games and doing escape rooms!

What did you want to be when you were growing up?

I had a very specific vision of being an author that lived in a Romany caravan by Loch Ness!

If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

Teleportation for sure – there’s too much to see in this world and nowhere near enough time.

What was the last book you read?

‘La Belle Sauvage’ by Phillip Pullman – it was great!

What song are you most likely to sing at a karaoke?

‘Like a Prayer’ by Madonna.

What is your favourite film?

‘La La Land’.

Do you have any phobias or fears?

I have a fear of escalators but taking the tube in London regularly since moving down south has helped me in overcoming it!

Name three things you would want with you if stranded on a desert island for a week:

A good book, a camera and a fully-stocked fridge.
