Tia achieved the A-Level grades that she needed to study a Foundation Year in Acting at Mountview Drama School in London.

Tia joined King's Ely Acremont Pre-Prep in Reception and journeyed the whole way through the school.

Tia studied Drama, Textiles, and History for her A-Levels. She was appointed a Prefect and Drama Prefect.

We caught up with Tia after she received her A-Level results to find out more about her King's experience and what her next steps are...

Tia, what career path do you plan on pursuing?

Hopefully acting but anything in the theatre or film industry! 

What is the quality and style of teaching like at King’s?

My teachers all went above and beyond to ensure that I made the most of every opportunity during my time at King's. I had brilliant relationships with all of my teachers, and could speak to them on both a professional and a friendly level. When I think back to my time at Acremont Pre-Prep, I remember having so much fun and how well supported I felt to pursue my interests. 

What else did you participate in during your time at King’s?

I was largely involved in the Drama Department - I was there every day! It was my favourite place in the school, and it gave me so many incredible memories and opportunities. I could not have had better teachers and the community ethos in the Department is unmatched. Being Drama Prefect allowed me to represent the place I was so fond of and I loved every second of it. I was also Tennis Captain and thoroughly enjoyed representing my school in sport. Being a Prefect also filled me with an immense amount of pride.

Do you feel that you have been well supported pastorally at King’s?

I was incredibly well supported, especially in Year 13 when I had a difficult year. My teachers were constantly looking out for me and I felt very comfortable speaking about any issues I had going on. 

What will you miss most about King’s and what did you enjoy most during your time here?

I clearly will miss the Drama Department the most. Our recent trip to the Edinburgh Fringe to perform 'Rebellious Women' was incredible and gave me memories that will last a lifetime.

In what ways do you think King’s is unique or special compared to other schools?

King’s is definitely unique because of the enormous amount of opportunities provided to students, and by how well the school transitions from younger years all the way up to Sixth Form. I found it so sweet having interactions with my Acremont Pre-Prep teachers when I was eighteen and they still remembered who I was!
