Pippa will be studying Primary Education with Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) at the University of Winchester after achieving the A-Level grades she needed.
Pippa joined King's Ely Prep in Year 6. She studied Psychology, Film Studies, and Classical Civilisation at A-Level.
Pippa aspires to be a Primary School Teacher. To describe King's in three words, she chose "inspiring, supportive, inclusive".
When asked about the teaching and learning environment at King's, Pippa said: "King's is a very inspirational place, where I was always encouraged to do my best. I loved my time at King’s. My teachers always supported me, even when I was struggling academically due to other factors, which resulted in me achieving the grades that I needed for my firm University. There are so many teachers in Prep School and Senior School who have inspired me to train as a Primary School Teacher. I am very thankful for the constant support that King’s gave me. I am also very grateful for the opportunity that King’s gave me to do work experience at Acremont Pre-Prep. The teachers there were very supportive, answering any questions that I had and making me feel so welcome."
Pippa was a Rowing Scholar, and she enjoyed the sport here for five years. She said: "I got the chance to race in many competitions, including GB Trials, British Championships, Junior Inter Regional Regatta, and the National Schools' Regatta."
When asked how well supported pastorally she felt at King's, Pippa said: "Very well! When I was unwell for a while, King’s gave me the support that I needed to help me get the most out of my learning. The Medical Centre and Wellbeing Team created a plan for me, they were very supportive, and I am very grateful for the hard work that they put in for me."
Describing what she will miss most about King's, Pippa said: "I am so glad that I went to King’s. I always felt supported and there were so many opportunities that I was lucky to experience. I will miss the people the most. I am lucky to have been able to build many friendships during my time at King's."
Congratulations Pippa - enjoy Winchester and keep in touch!
