We had an awesome morning of learning and fun when we welcomed local PCSO, Magdalena Harvey, to King's Ely Acremont Nursery and Pre-Prep!

Our Nursery Team invited in PCSO Harvey, who is based in Ely and East Cambs, after children in 'Nursery Two' recently developed a strong interest in the police force.

It all began when the children built their own police car and call centre inside the Nursery, as well as police hats and identification badges. The Nursery Team then took the children for a little wander down to Ely Police Station, when to their delight, some officers came outside to meet them! 

This experience led to PCSO Harvey being invited into Nursery to speak to the children about the type of jobs that she and her colleagues deal with, as well as show them some of the uniform and equipment that the force has. Of course, the highlights were being able to sit in the police car with the siren sounding, and trying on the police vests and hats.

Our Reception children are currently learning about superheroes in their local community, so PCSO Harvey's visit was a wonderful opportunity to enrich their learning too.
