Our Year 6 King's Ely Prep pupils enjoyed a fantastic visit to Burghley House in Stamford!

Mrs Sarah Paling, Prep's Art Coordinator, organises the art trip every year, and Year 6s have been brimming with excitement and creativity since the excursion.

The day started with 'The Story Behind The Face' - a presentation that explores the portraits in Burghley House's extensive collection. The children then participated in a rotation of three different activities - sketching in the Sculpture Garden, a tour of the house, and a workshop in which they made wire dragonflies.

Kudos to the pupils for their superb energy and enthusiasm, and thank you to the Burghley House Education Team for their care and professionalism!
