Head of KS3 Mathematics – For September 2017 or January 2018

We seek an inspirational teacher to ensure the continuity of our provision across the Key Stage. Although based in Key Stage 3, the appointee will liaise closely with colleagues in both the Senior and Junior sections of King’s Ely. This post represents an exciting and challenging leadership role within a very successful department.

School Nurse – Part Time (28 hours)

September 2017

King’s Ely wishes to appoint a permanent, part-time School Nurse to assist in the day-to-day running of the school Medical Centre. The School Nurse position will provide part-time term time cover within a rota system (including on-site hours and on-call hours) and become part of a progressive and fast moving school community.

The applicant must be a fully qualified nurse. Experience of working in a school would be an advantage, although not a requirement. A genuine liking of children and young people is essential. Experience of A&E, practice nursing, paediatrics or minor injuries would be desirable, as would vaccination/phlebotomy skills or the willingness to undertake training in this.

The role requires the ability to work as part of a team as well as autonomously. Flexibility is essential.

Medical Centre Assistant – Term time only (20 hours per week)

September 2017

King’s Ely wishes to appoint a part-time Medical Centre Assistant to support the nursing team in the day-to-day running of the school Medical Centre from September 2017. This is a part-time, term-time position.

The applicant must have a genuine liking of children and young people and wish to work as part of a happy team. Experience of first aid would be desirable, however, training will be provided for the correct applicant. Flexibility is essential.

Driver

For morning and afternoon school runs and other journeys, term time only

We are seeking an enthusiastic and reliable part-time minibus driver.  Applicants should hold a UK car driving licence, with a clean driving record.  A D1 license would be an advantage. The basic hours are 12 per week, with additional hours on a casual basis.
