Visiting King’s Ely

We warmly invite prospective families to visit King’s Ely during an Open Event or smaller Tour Event. We advise attending one of our Open or Tour Events in the first instance, followed by an individual visit at a later date for a more detailed discussion if desired. Attending performances, Evensong and fixtures is also a useful way to visit the school. Whilst visits can be arranged in the holidays, please appreciate that you are unlikely to capture the spirit of King’s Ely without the pupils and staff who communicate the vibrancy and energy that underpins all that we represent. A map of our school site is available to download.

Open Events

Open Events take place throughout the academic year from February and March (Spring Tour Events) through to September and October (Autumn Open Events). The dates for this year’s events will be posted on the Open Event pages as soon as they have been confirmed. For more information, please call 01353 660707 or email admissions@kingsely.org, or to book your place complete the online form here.

We look forward to hearing from you and welcoming you to King’s Ely.

Individual visits

Individual visits take place on week days. Visits to King’s Ely Acremont and Junior usually last around an hour. Visits to King’s Ely Senior and Sixth Form usually last around 1.5 hours. All individual visits to Acremont and Junior include a tour of the appropriate section of the school and discussion with the Head or Deputy Head. At King’s Ely Senior, the Principal or Vice Principals are available to meet families who are looking no more than one year in advance. Should families visiting King’s Ely Senior be looking beyond a year in advance, it is possible that they may meet members of the Senior Leadership Team with at least one other family. We advise booking individual visits several weeks in advance. All tours of King’s Ely Junior and Senior are conducted by current pupils. Tours of Acremont are taken by the Head, Deputy Head or Head of Early Years.

To arrange a visit, please contact Admissions.
