WHAT a splendid Ely Cathedral Harvest Festival Service for our Pre-Prep and Junior pupils, staff and families this morning (October 7th)!

The singing was wonderful, the displays looked beautiful, the readings were poignant and we were delighted to welcome Karen Relton, Community Minister at the Countess Free Church, Ely and a volunteer with Ely Foodbank along to join us.

Karen spoke to us about the vital support the Foodbank is providing in Ely and East Cambridgeshire, and a little about the work of the charity CAFOD, which is an international development charity.

Thank you so much to everyone who has donated items to our Harvest Foodbank Appeal so far. There is a particular need for the following items to be donated: soup, long-life milk, cereals, puddings, squash and long-life juice, tinned meat and fish, tinned vegetables, rice, tinned fruit and pasta sauce.

Donated items can be dropped off at any of King’s Ely’s main reception areas before the weekend.
