IT’S been an exciting and action-filled first week back to school for our Priory House boarders!

Housemistress of Priory, Clare Gorick, said: “On Sunday afternoon, all returning and new boarders arrived, keen to share their summer holiday adventures! After unpacking and inspecting the revamped boarding house, we made our way to the Monastic Barn for a delicious supper.

“Monday morning arrived and all boarders left for school excited at the prospects of what the new academic year had in store. Evening activities this week included hill rolling and football on Cherry Hill, a quiz night, a movie night and endless games of table football and pool. Even an early fire drill on Thursday did not dampen the children’s spirits!

“We are really looking forward to our first outing of the year to the Haddenham Steam Rally and Heavy Horse show on Sunday!”

Many of our youngest boy and girl boarders tell us that coming to Priory House made them feel like they had arrived at Hogwarts! It is hard to deny the magic of the House, with its twisting staircases, painted ceilings, vaulted undercroft, magnificent fireplaces and wooden panelling, but the entirely modern approach means that Priory boarders have a very special experience.
