Lowestoft, Suffolk.

MA Royal College of Art, First Class Degree from Loughborough University and United Kingdom Alliance Professional Teacher of Dance.

Your current role at King’s Ely and how long you have been a member of staff here:

I am Director of Art at King’s Ely Senior and have been at King’s for 18 years!

What do you enjoy most about working here?

The wonderful atmosphere, team and students who genuinely want to succeed.

Hobbies/interests outside of school:

Long walks with our Border Terrier, Ruby, travel and gardening.

What did you want to be when you were growing up?

I originally worked in industry with major clients such as Harrods, Liberty and Barneys New York.

If you could have a superpower, what would it be?

To ensure good health was available to all.

What was the last book you read?

‘Fall of Giants’ by Ken Follett.

What song are you most likely to sing at a karaoke?

Abba’s ‘Mamma Mia’!

What is your favourite film?

‘Bohemian Rhapsody’.

Do you have any phobias or fears?

Time goes so quickly. I want to continue to be able to do lots of travelling with my husband, Jes.

Name three things you would want with you if stranded on a desert island for a week:

My husband, Ruby the dog and Häagen-Dazs.
