Our eldest pupils at King’s Ely Acremont Pre-Prep enjoyed storytime with Mr Everest this week!

Mr Everest, who is our Head of Key Stage 2, popped over to Acremont on February 7th to meet our Year 2 classes, and to read the much-loved Jarvis novel, Alan’s Big, Scary Teeth, to them.

The storytelling sessions were organised as part of our Year 2 to Year 3 Transition Programme, which ensures that our Year 2s are not only well prepared for the next stage of their King’s Ely journey come September, but that they are also excited for it!

The programme includes swimming sessions at King’s Ely Junior, lunch in the Monastic Barn, Year 3 Teacher familiarisation activities, and our whole school ‘Move-up Morning’ in the Summer Term. Close communication between our Year 2 and Year 3 Teaching Team ensures that this important transition is a very positive experience.

Of course, Mr Everest could not head back to King’s Ely Junior without Year 2s showing him the Acremont Hobbit Hut and Tree House!
