THE Hungry Caterpillar came to life at King’s Acremont today (Monday 10 October) when pupils came to school dressed as their favourite story book character to mark the start of the school’s Book Week.

Highlights will include a visit by author Margaret Bateson-Hill and students from King’s International will be invited to read in their mother tongue – 15 different languages!- to pupils in Year 2.

The children will also have the chance to visit both Ely Library and King’s Senior School library where they will see some of the 10,000 books housed in the medieval Porta building.

Finlay Beeton dressed as The Hungry Caterpillar, with Edith Ward as Edie the Fairy, Harry Crawford as Wally, Sydney Smith as Tigger from Winnie the Pooh and Harriet Bailey as Inky Mouse.
