YEAR 9’s Harriet Pinto has been playing for Cambridge City Hockey Club Under 14s this season in what has been a very successful year for the team.

Earlier in the month, City advanced to the National U14 Hockey Club Final in Nottingham, where they finished in a very creditable fourth place.

Harriet and classmate Alice Harris also played with Cambridgeshire at U15 level this season and represented the county at the East Region Hockey Association JAC U15 Finals on Saturday (19).

Chanre Bond, Head of Girls’ Games at King’s Ely Senior, said: “Both Harriet and Alice are naturally talented and passionate players and have done particularly well with their respective teams this season.

“The King’s Ely Senior hockey teams have also had a great year, after wins against Hill’s Road and Royal Hospital School, and with players such as Sophie Hart, Tatijana Allpress and Georgia Baynes going from strength to strength.”
