King’s Ely is delighted to be supporting the Ely Community Christmas Lunch again this year.

The fantastic initiative is overseen by Ely Community Lunches, a charity formed in 2021 to provide occasional celebratory meals for residents in and around Ely.

The Community Christmas Lunch, which is fully booked again this year, is organised to enable someone in need of food or company to enjoy a warm welcome and a tasty traditional festive lunch.

Volunteers will be serving the meal at Ely Cathedral and Ely’s Lighthouse Church and Methodist Churches on Christmas Day in person, and today (Christmas Eve) by home delivery within a four-mile radius of Ely.

Our Kitchen Team has made all of the soup for the lunches – carrot and coriander, tomato and basil, and leek and potato – and around 300 portions in total.

We hope that everyone has a wonderful time!
