At King’s Ely, we pride ourselves on the contributions we make to the wider community. Primarily run by the students but headed by a member of the teaching staff, the King’s Ely Charity Action Group has been responsible for raising vast amounts of money. The students in all sections of the school generate, plan and carry out fundraising events with good humour and enthusiasm in support of their chosen charity.

The ethos is to raise money annually for both local and overseas charities and once every three years we have a ‘Big Push’. All sections of the school vote for one particular charity to support. In past ‘Big Push’ years we have raised money for Schools in Africa, an eye bank hospital in India, the Teenage Cancer trust, WaterAid and Africa Aid. Each of these charities has benefited from donations of over £20,000. We are very proud of the many contributions our students have made to the wider community.
