Fifteen King’s Ely students represented the School and the Isle of Ely District in the Cambridgeshire County Schools Cross Country Championships on January 13th.

Every pupil gave it their all in the event, which took place at Ferry Meadows in Peterborough, and five athletes qualified for the next round of the competition.

Students who will be representing King’s and Cambridgeshire in the Anglian Schools Cross Country Championships in February are – Hayden Shaw, Caitlin Morton, Alexandria Styles, Oliver Loveday, and Juliette Hames.

Other King’s Ely students who competed: Alastair Wright, Charlie Pynn, Oliver Claydon, Louis Spalding, Mollie Mitchell, Ianthe Wilding, Olivia D’Souza, Liana Morton, Stephanie Birkwood, and Zac Williams-Gray.

Well done everyone, thank you to Ms Bird and Mrs Melville for accompanying the students, and kudos to the many parents and family members who travelled to Peterborough to support our runners!
