A 24-hour charity indoor rowing challenge is taking place in school this week!

Our Rowing community – mostly students but also some staff, parents and friends of the school – will be taking it in turns and working in small teams to row for 24-hours straight, starting at 5.30pm on Friday (March 24th) and finishing at 5.30pm on Saturday (March 25th).

Money raised through sponsorship will be split equally between Tearfund; namely its relief efforts for people impacted by the Turkey-Syria Earthquake, and for King’s Ely Boat Club’s fundraising campaign to purchase a new coxless quad for our girls’ rowing programme.

More than 100 students and adults have signed up for the ‘Ergothon’, which will take place in our Old Palace Gymnasium. Among those taking on the challenge are our Captain of Boys’ Boats, Aron O’Connor, and Captain of Girls’ Boats, Mollie Chamberlain, pictured.
