Our Nursery children staged their first ever Christmas nativity this week.

To say that the performance on December 7th had the ‘cute factor’ would be a slight understatement, as the children looked fabulous in their yuletide attire and they really gave it their all.

Parents and carers packed inside Acremont’s Hall to watch their little ones perform ‘A Christmas Patchwork’ – a delightful Christmas story written by Davina Shore. Davina runs our weekly Music sessions at Nursery and she accompanied the children for the songs beautifully on the piano.

The children worked so hard to learn their words and dance moves – well done to them and thank you to Davina and our Nursery Team for making it all happen!

Faye Fenton-Stone, Head of King’s Ely Acremont Nursery and Pre-Prep, said: “It is a rare moment in the life of any professional person to use the word ‘scrumptious’ but ‘A Christmas Patchwork’ was just that! Nothing starts off a school production with more charm and comic timing than a child, entering stage left, shouting, “I can see my Dad!”

“From the staging to the costumes; the singing to the audience participation, we were treated to a treasure chest of memorable moments. Thank you to the Nursery Team for their patience and encouragement. Their gentle support inspired the children to be brave and confident in front of so many adults.”

These photos were taken by Mr Day when the children performed to Acremont pupils and staff the day before their actual performance.
