YEAR 13 student Harlan Kohll has won a place at the Bessie F. Lawrence International Summer Science Institute at the Weizmann Institute, Israel’s foremost scientific research centre and one of the leading centres in the world.

Harlan will be one of only 70 talented students selected worldwide to study at a unique summer school that allows students to work in the laboratory alongside professional scientists whilst also attending lectures from leading researchers and professors. Students also have the opportunity to explore Israel. Harlan is hoping to participate in cutting-edge research in Computer Science, and he has a particular interest in the field of artificial intelligence. Harlan can hardly wait to try out the Institute’s supercomputers to test his theories.
