It was wonderful to welcome Year 5 and Year 6 pupils from our Newmarket-based family school, Fairstead House School and Nursery, to King’s Ely Junior on November 24th.

Dressed immaculately in their red and green uniform, the children soon got their hands (and cuffs!) dirty in a creative chalk and charcoal-based art activity with Head of King’s Ely Junior, Mr Whymark.

The children enjoyed a session with Head of Year 7 and Design and Technology Coordinator, Mr Ray, and a workshop with Head of Key Stage 2 and Computing and Digital Innovation, Mr Everest.

Fairstead House pupils joined King’s Ely Junior students for playtime and lunch in our Monastic Barn. At playtime, there were squeals of joy as new friendships were formed and old friendships were rekindled.

We are excited to be organising more shared activities and experiences over the coming months!
