ASPIRING graphic designer Erik Bell (14) won a competition to design a logo for Ely Folk Festival – the city’s annual not-for-profit music festival.

Judges including local artist Ted Coney and Zoe Davidson from Arts Development East Cambridgeshire (ADeC) thought that Erik’s winning design was “fun, colourful, retro and encapsulated the family-friendly nature of the festival”.

The King’s Ely student received art supply tokens and a free family pass to Ely Folk Festival. His winning design appeared on festival T shirts and other festival merchandise.
