CHILDREN from King’s Ely Acremont have been learning about scales, fur and feathers during a trip to the Wildlife and Butterfly Park in Long Sutton.

As well as seeing many creatures and creepy crawlies for the first time, including a royal python, a bearded dragon, a family of ferrets and George the tortoise, the children – aged five and six – admired the butterflies in the tropical butterfly dome and had a wonderful display from the birds of prey.

Head of Acremont, Lynda Brereton said: “The children all had a wonderful day and staff were very proud to have been complimented on the children’s behaviour and enthusiasm.”
