OUR A Level Fashion and Textiles students exhibited their garment designs alongside established artists at London’s Alexandra Palace.

Around 18,000 people attended the Knitting & Stitching Show from October 7th-10th, so to say it was a fantastic opportunity for pupils to showcase their skills would be a slight understatement.

Alison Rhodes, our Director of Art, said: “Hailed as being one of the biggest textile exhibitions in Europe, the show offers an array of displays, workshops and stalls for visitors to explore. Our students were invited to exhibit in the Textile Gallery, which provided a wealth of valuable contacts, and their fashion design was displayed alongside work by professional textile artists and designers.

“This was a wonderful opportunity for our students and a valuable experience that will also contribute to coursework, UCAS applications and future employment.”
