Where did you grow up?
Between Kent where my father’s veterinary practice was and my grandparents’ dairy farm in Suffolk.
Education:
Eltham College and then the University of Exeter.
Your current role at King’s Ely and how long you have been a member of staff here:
I have been Head of King’s Ely Junior since September 2008.
What do you enjoy most about working here?
The varied nature of the days and the breadth of the experiences I share with colleagues, children and their families.
Hobbies/interests outside of school:
Painting, photography, classic cars, motor racing, gardening and travel.
What did you want to be when you were growing up?
An architect.
If you could have a superpower, what would it be?
To grant every person the gift of having a positive outlook.
What was the last book you read?
It would be a Grisham – I am hooked and have to read them cover to cover in one sitting!
What song are you most likely to sing at a karaoke?
‘Let it be’!
What is your favourite film?
‘Some like it hot’.
Do you have any phobias or fears?
A chocolate shortage!
