King’s Ely Sixth Form students have received outstanding results this year in their A Levels.
43% of all A2 grades achieved were A* or A, 72% were graded A*- B, 84% were graded A*-C, whilst just one grade prevented 100% of all students achieving A*-E.
15 students achieved at least three passes at A or A*, with Phoebe Ryan achieving 3 A* grades and Hongye Guo achieving 3 A* grades and an A.
Phoebe and Hongye will be taking up their offers from Cambridge University to read Theology, Philosophy and Religion at Murray Edwards College and Natural Sciences at Queens College respectively. James Mitchell also takes up his place at Girton College, Cambridge to read Music after obtaining 1 A* and 2 A grades. Rosamond Van Wingerden, who achieved 2 A* grades and 1 A grade, will attend Princeton University, USA. Tara Benowitz also achieved 2 A* grades and 1 A grade and will be heading to ULC to study Language and Culture.
Across the board, real success stories see students far exceeding their predicted grades and gaining places at top Russell Group universities.
