Bicycle helmets and high-vis vests were worn with pride at King’s Ely Junior last week.

We welcomed instructors from the Cambridge-based organisation, Outspoken Training, into school from February 6th-9th to run ‘Bikeability’ cycle training for our Year 5 students.

‘Bikeability’ cycle training is the modern version of cycling proficiency, equipping pupils with the skills, confidence, and enthusiasm to encourage and enable them to cycle more.

From learning about the importance of wearing a safety helmet and ensuring that your bicycle is in good health, to tackling tricky manoeuvres and practising hand signals out and about around Ely, our Year 5s certainly had an action-packed and informative week!
