Our annual King’s Ely Senior Spring Art Exhibition has opened and gosh, it is a feast for the eyes.

Around 200 people attended the private viewing on Friday (March 17th) afternoon. Parents, grandparents, carers, aunts and uncles, siblings, staff, and even some four-legged friends were all eager to see what our students in Years 9-13 have been creating in Fine Art, Photography, Sculpture, and Fashion and Textiles.

Among work on display is photography which has been shortlisted in this year’s ILFORD PHOTO Student Competition and Beyond the Frame Photography Competition. If you missed this exciting news, you can read all about it here: www.kingsely.org/students-shortlisted-in-two-international-photography-competitions/

Students’ portfolio work for universities, including London College of Fashion, University for the Creative Arts, and Loughborough University, is also featured.

Later this week, our Fashion and Textiles students will be showcasing their work at The Stitch Festival at London’s Business Design Centre. Thousands of people are expected to attend the craft extravaganza from March 23rd-26th. King’s Ely’s stand will be GH6.

We are thrilled to confirm that nine of our GCSE and A Level students have also been announced as finalists in The Stitch Festival’s Dressmaking Competition! Garments made by Rosa Snell, Nell Kittoe, Kevin Meng, Phiona Loi, Kiki Tang, Disa Hellyer, Chloe Skoulding, Alexa Milne and Sayuri Okunushi will feature in the finalists’ catwalk on the Sunday, just before the winners are announced.
