In ‘Year 5 and Year 6 Book Club’ at King’s Ely Junior, Mrs Petherick and the children are currently reading the fabulous Ross Montgomery story, ‘Perijee & Me’.
Mrs P might lead this after school club every Tuesday, but it is the pupils who get to choose which books are read. Mrs P is just on hand to provide the terrible accents and chocolate biscuits! Before ‘Perijee & Me’, the children enjoyed the award-winning Katherine Rundell book, ‘Rooftoppers’.
The range of clubs and activities on offer here at King’s, both during and after school, is vast. Our Pre-Prep children enjoy clubs like Forest School, Musical Sparklers, and Coding; Junior pupils enjoy clubs like Archery, Pottery, and Spanish; and Senior students enjoy clubs like Clay Pigeon Shooting, Round Table Society, and Language Leaders. The choices are endless, ensuring that there is something for everyone!
