Pancake Day festivities at King’s Ely Junior today (February 21st) were also a brilliant way to flip-start fundraising for our new school charities!

King’s Ely Junior (Years 3-8) will be raising money and awareness for two charities throughout 2023 – Cancer Research UK and GIST Cancer UK. As is the case every year, these fantastic charities were voted for by pupils and staff.

Thanks to our Junior School community’s ceaseless generosity, today’s fun and frolics raised at least £500 for the charities, with several donations still to come in. Well done everyone!

The Choristers of Ely Cathedral Choir, all of whom are pupils at King’s, are also pictured in The Times today, practising for their annual Pancake Race.

The Pancake Race is at Ely Cathedral at 6.15pm this evening (February 21st) and members of the public are welcome. If you are unable to attend in person, you can always watch the event live on the Cathedral’s YouTube Channel: https://youtube.com/live/S4oE418C8Aw
