THE nursery at King’s Ely has expanded to cater for an ever-increasing demand for places – including for babies who are not even born yet.
King’s Ely Acremont and Nursery only started to accept children from the age of one around a year ago. But already the nursery, based at Ely’s Acremont House, in Egremont Street, has been extended to cater for an ever-growing demand from families.
Head of Early Years Foundation Stage at King’s Ely Acremont and Nursery, Anna Ballanger, said: “We took the decision to accept one year olds into our nursery just over a year ago. This was in response to an increasing demand from parents to accommodate younger children. To say that it has been a positive and successful move would be a bit of an understatement. We have now further expanded the nursery by creating an additional room in order to cater for the increasing demand for nursery places for this age group, allowing our toddlers more space to explore. Parents love everything we do here so much that we even have a waiting list of places for babies who haven’t even been born yet!”
King’s Ely Acremont and Nursery prides itself on offering a superb early education rather than simple childcare. A dynamic curriculum based on self-discovery and learning through play, teamed with caring, experienced staff and an exciting, spacious and homely setting provide children with the perfect start to their education.
