KING’S Ely Junior’s Rebecca Daniel (12) won the Suffolk County Cross Country at Ickworth Park in Horringer on Sunday (5).
Competing for her club, West Suffolk AC, Rebecca won the under 13 girls event with a time of 12:33, a total of 12 seconds ahead of her second place rival. With the team occupying the top four places, Rebecca also led West Suffolk to victory in the team event.
In finishing first, Rebecca will represent the Eastern region in the Mini London Marathon in April, where she will compete against County Champions from across the UK over the last 5k of the London Marathon course.
