ATHLETE Lucie Clift, who represented Cambridgeshire at the UK Inter-Counties Cross Country Championships in Birmingham on Saturday, beat all the other Cambridgeshire runners and came 62nd in the U17 race out of 261 runners from all over the UK.
She is running for Cambridgeshire again in the English Schools’ Cross Country Championships this Saturday (17 March) in Somerset.
“Competing in the national championships will cap a great season of progress in her cross country running, which will hopefully continue on the track this summer,” said the school’s Head of Athletics, Richard Powell.
