AFTER months of training, preparation and keen anticipation, King’s Ely Senior students Libby Chessor and Phoebe Pennington, both aged 14, have become full members of Ely Cathedral Girls’ Choir (ECGC).
The two girls were officially installed as full members of the Ely Cathedral foundation on Sunday May 26 along with Assistant Organist, Alex Berry.
ECGC Director Sarah MacDonald commented: “Libby and Phoebe have worked extremely hard this year to build up their musical skills. They both have beautiful natural voices and quick ears, and they have been a wonderful addition to the choir. It was a real honour for me to present them to the Dean for admission to the Cathedral Foundation as full members of the girls’ choir.”
