A QUARTET from King’s Ely is in training for the London Marathon. They are Chanré Bond, head of girls’ games; Mark Hart, operations director; Tom Kingsnorth, the Head’s PA and chef Chris Woodfin.

Mark will be running in his seventh London Marathon, this time with his 18-yearold son, Adam. He will once again be sponsored for the charity Asthma UK.

As part of their training programme, Mark and Chanré ran in Sunday’s Silverstone half-marathon while Tom took part in a similar event in Bath.

Training is also going well for Chris who will be running in his first London Marathon and raising sponsorship for the Alzheimer’s Society.

Chanré will be running in aid of a tsunami-hit school in Sri Lanka which is the school’s chosen charity this year.

Tom, who was a fast finisher in the 2010 London Marathon and also coaches the school’s talented group of distance athletes, said: “We are all enjoying our individual training programmes and looking forward to crossing the finish line on The Mall.”
