Year 7 is the penultimate year at King’s Ely Junior. It’s a great time for our students to really establish themselves within the school environment with activities in Drama, Sport and the many clubs that we have on offer.
Our Year 7 students move up to the Key Stage Three curriculum and, as a result, they get to experience new subjects such as Latin and Classical Civilisation. On a wider academic note, they study Mathematics, English, Science, History, Geography, Religious Studies, Latin, PHSE, two Modern Foreign Languages, Technology, Music and Sport. There are formal exams in both November and May.
Our Year 7 students are growing in maturity and really begin to appreciate their position in the school. They are looked up to, and as a result, we widely encourage them to think about applying for positions such as School Ambassadors in Year 8.
