At King’s Ely, our courses are all practical and creative, focusing on providing students with the necessary practical skills and knowledge they need before moving into King’s Ely Senior.
We follow the national curriculum programs of study and cover all five of the key areas: Food Science, Food Safety, Food Choice, Food Provenance, and Food, Nutrition and Health. Through a variety of practical activities, pupils are taught the knowledge, understanding and skills needed to create a range of nutritionally balanced and predominantly savoury dishes. Our aim is to enable the students to make informed decisions about their own diet and food choices, and above all, to instil a love of cooking.
