We inspire our pupils to push the parameters of their learning. Students are encouraged to develop their autonomy as they mature and we expect an ever-increasing use of information literacy, technology and study skills throughout their time at King’s Ely Junior.
Successful learners have some things in common, and whilst we are a school that embraces and nurtures individuality, we recognise and promote some key characteristics of successful learners to help each of our students achieve their potential.
The Junior Learning Habits Framework is found in every classroom at King’s Ely Junior and is echoed in the language used in lessons. It summarises the areas students should be looking to develop as they become independent learners over the course of their careers at the school and links to how we report and measure personal academic development too.
