“This week it was International Week here at school and so we heard lots from our friends from across the world during assemblies and in classes.

“Next week will see the Year 5 children wheeling and pedalling their way around the streets of Ely on their Bikeability courses, the Digital Leaders once again promoting safety online and on devices; thanks to Safer Internet Day on Tuesday, Year 3 and 4 Parents’ Evenings, and a range of sports fixtures. It is sure to be a busy few days as we head towards half term! There is also a swimming gala and a Roman Morning to squeeze in but we welcome all the excitement as a rest over half term follows shortly afterwards for most.

“Ely Cathedral Girls’ Choir head off to Italy for a tour over the break and so we look forward to waving them off next Friday and hearing all about their adventures in due course. Tomorrow we will see over eighty children coming to attend Sing! at the Cathedral and so it would seem that the recent decision to welcome both girls and boys to Choristership in their Junior years is proving a popular development. We look forward to seeing some of you there!

“With our best wishes for your weekend, however and wherever your plans will take you.”
