“The first week back following half term has been a very busy one at school! A Junior School Eucharist Service and Year 5 workshops to celebrate the life of Etheldreda in Ely happened on Wednesday, Year 2 parents visited to learn more about what is to come next September when their children join Year 3, the Year 7 parents came to socialise in the Monastic Barn on Thursday afternoon, and the arrival of touring sides from Surrey this afternoon all contributed to the momentum we enjoyed over the last five days.

“Tomorrow we are welcoming over four hundred guests to tour the school as prospective students and parents and, at the same time, Year 2 will come to the Junior site for some activities as they familiarise themselves with this part of the school. Additionally, some of our Year 5 children will enjoy the netball and football tournaments planned for tomorrow as well. As the excitement mounts because we are heading towards the performances of The Little Princess, the cast will once again be rehearsing and shaping their production over the weekend. We wish them every success for the performances ahead on Thursday 2nd and Friday 3rd March. To end, a reminder for the 2nd March and a repeat of the invitation for the children to come to school dressed as their favourite book character on that day.

“However your family may be spending this busy weekend, we wish you every happiness and look forward to welcoming all the children back to school on Monday.”
