Online testing

In King’s Ely Junior, overseas students are required to sit our entrance assessments in Mathematics and English (ESOL) and, if successful, they will also require an interview with the Head of King’s Ely Junior, which can be arranged via Skype. The Admissions team can email entrance assessments to either the pupil’s current school or to the office of an independent invigilator. Assessments should be taken under examination conditions.

In King’s Ely Senior, overseas students are required to sit our entrance assessments in Mathematics and English and, if successful, will also require an interview with the Vice Principal Academic.

Offer of a place

Offers are usually made within 10 working days of the assessment. Parents have 14 days to accept the offer.

Acceptance of a place

Parents are required to sign an Acceptance Form, which includes confirmation that they have read and accepted the school’s Terms and Conditions, and to pay the required acceptance deposit.

International FAQs

Is there an international school at King’s Ely?
No. We provide integrated International programmes within the Junior and Senior sections of the school so that pupils from overseas can benefit from living, studying and learning alongside British students wherever possible. Please see the International section for more information about the programmes available.
How do I apply for a place on one of the International programmes?
To apply for a place, download a Registration Form and submit it to Admissions along with the registration fee.
How many international students do you have?
Unlike most international schools and colleges, 90% of our students are British. To ensure that our International programmes provide a truly international and diverse learning environment, we endeavour to ensure that students come from a variety of different countries and cultures.
Do the school fees cover the cost of airport transfers?
The school fees include the cost of transfer from the airport to the school at the start of the programme and the transfer to the airport at the end of the course. Parents are required to cover the cost of all other transfers.
Are International students able to apply for financial assistance?
Bursaries and scholarships are currently not available to pupils in our Junior and Senior international programmes.
